I take merely tried to order some 'Corn Silk' face pulverization and virtually collapsed at seeing it on Amazon for £101 !! (My last buy, almost a yr ago, was around £6.00.) Farther enquiries revealed that information technology has been discontinued, although lots of people were saying they loved information technology and had used it for years. I have heard from the counter assistants in Boots that it is a favourite of make up artists and anyone doing wedding ceremony make up, because it is simply and then good and stays flawless all day. WHY do manufacturers do this? I will be lost without it - I have half a box left now; perhaps someone would be kind enough to recommend a skilful loose powder that doesn't become cakey, stay put all day and volition not alter colour. Help, ladies - I am desperate.

'stays' - useless typing again.

Mineral powders are nifty. Non-cakey and no unwanted chemicals - and definitely not £101!!! shock. One of the companies I use is My Beautiful Earth. The extra bonus is that you can buy refills, so saving the planet at the same time!

PS They practise sample sizes for you lot to try.

Pixi do a very good loose pulverisation in a little compact and best of all it's cruelty gratuitous, which very few brands are these days.

Rosina Sun 18-February-18 20:28:49

Give thanks you all - really helpful, and perchance I can still show my 'best face' - or the best I can brand of it - to the world!

I noticed a few for sale on ebay.
I'm a Bare Minerals fan. It took a wee fleck of time to become the technique right, but in that location are videos on You Tube.
If you go to a Bare Minerals concession in the big dept stores, they volition help yous choose the correct shade.

NannyTee Sun eighteen-February-18 20:42:45

I've been using Avon MagiX loose powder for a while now. Information technology'south white in the box but goes on to match your pare colour/foundation. Apply with a brush, stays fresh all mean solar day and costs around a tenner if you expect for their offers.
Highly recommended.

Just looked on Avon website to society some more of the MagiX HD finishing pulverization and it appears to have changed its proper name to Mark. Setting pulverisation at £v.fifty on offering.

icanhandthemback Fri 23-Feb-18 12:04:46

I employ Blank Minerals Powder with the yellow colour correcting Primer. I had the same feel as you lot, Rosina, when the price of the Primer shot up. It appears that Bare Minerals have stopped producing the Primer and I am and so upset. It is the kickoff stuff I have ever worn that has done what I wanted information technology to.

NannyTee Friday 23-Feb-eighteen 12:29:35

Dianic Friday 23-Feb-eighteen 13:06:56

Lilyflower Friday 23-Feb-18 xiii:25:59

At that place was an article in the 'Daily Mail' (I know!) yesterday near simply this topic:- discontinued, dear cosmetics and scents. They had some really good tips for how to overcome the loss and/or work round it.

lemongrove Fri 23-Feb-xviii 14:04:01

The Bare Minerals range is pricey though,£27 for the pot of loose powder.

icanhandthemback Fri 23-Feb-eighteen 14:eleven:48
